What Is Solution-Focused Grooming?
Solution focused grooming means I don't treat pets like an assembly line. I treat each pet as an individual. Every appointment, I look with fresh eyes, because what a pet needs today may be very different from what they needed last time.
Different Pets, Different Needs
For one dog or cat, grooming may mean simple routine maintenance. For another, it may mean managing heavy shedding, maintaining a challenging coat, giving a puppy or kitten the right introduction to grooming, or providing extra support for skin and coat concerns. The service may change, but the goal doesn’t: choosing the right approach for the fur baby in front of me.

Clip/Trim of nails to as short as safely possible.

Nail trim, hair removed from between the paw pads, and excess hair tidied around the feet.

Super De-Shed
For dogs who need more than a little extra brushing.
This is a complete deshedding process using specialized products, tools, and techniques to loosen and remove excess dead coat.(Husky owners, you know what I mean!) +$15 if added separately
De-Matting
For coats with significant matting that requires additional time, products, or specialized handling beyond a standard groom.
When matting is severe, shaving may be the safest and most comfortable option. For coat types that should not be shaved, we'll discuss the best approach for your dog. +$20
De-Skunking
Please do not get your dog wet before coming in. Water can make skunk odor much harder to remove.

Practical grooming doesn’t have to be boring.
Creative grooming can be as simple as a little color or as elaborate as a full design. Bring me your inspiration pictures and we’ll talk about what will work with your dog’s coat, comfort, temperament, and grooming needs.
I use products made specifically for creative pet grooming, including OPAWZ color products. OPAWZ states that its permanent and semi-permanent pet dyes have passed professional laboratory cytotoxicity testing.

Mary Kirkpatrick is the founder and owner of Mary's TLC Pet Grooming. Mary has been a groomer for over 50 years and is both my friend and mentor.
After having (yet another) shoulder surgery, Mary reluctantly retired from active grooming and passed me the "baton". While she is still "behind the scenes", she has left the grooming and management up to me.
That said, I am constantly working to expand and keep current on my grooming/skin care knowledge. In this way I can always ensure that our customers get the best care & service possible and that Mary's trust is never misplaced.
